Yesterday, our school community enjoyed a much-needed day of celebration as we unearthed a time capsule buried 30 years ago by Mr. Mike Rizzo, along with staff, faculty, and students back in 1995.
The day was filled with reflection on West Babylon’s legacy, meaningful conversations about our past and present, and excitement for all that our future holds. Events like this highlight the strength of our community and the traditions that continue to inspire new generations of Eagles.
It was an honor to be joined by former superintendents Mr. Mel Nobel and Dr. Bob Manley, along with members of Mr. Rizzo’s family, who helped make the celebration even more special.
A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Falcón and the entire JHS Time Capsule Committee for planning such a memorable and beautifully organized event. Their hard work, creativity, and attention to detail made the day extraordinary for our students.
Below are a few media clips capturing the excitement of the day — my favorite is the NBC segment featuring student interviews and our JHS chorus!
